**General Description**
Samsung is seeking a passionate, and talented Technical Architect who have experience building innovative, high volume & global applications. Samsung Ecommerce is currently in the process of expanding its marketplace platform to add more features and to expand it globally. Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage a group of Architects/Individual Contributors and mentor them for various business group needs.
* Flexible in Travel.
* Translation of complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design
* Responsible for the over-all systems architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
* Delivering quality services and solutions in the demanding time frame by the business.
* Propose frameworks, technologies and standards for development and implementation
* Should be able to conceptualize and come up with multiple architectural approaches
* Closely work with Product Management to understand business requirements and engineering to determine performance requirement consequences in order to translate them in the best product architecture choices
* Open to hands-on coding.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors / Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field in a reputed institution
* 15 years professional experience in software development with most of them from a product company
* Proficient in Architecture, Design & Development
* An expert knowledge of Software Engineering best practices, Software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
* Mentor the Architect and Engineering team.
* Provide technical insight to the Management and Business teams.
* Preferred: Proficient in Open source technologies, Private and Public cloud technologies. Skills needed:
* Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and asynchronous architectures
* Good understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
* Good understanding of Object oriented programming concepts
* Good understanding of web technologies
* Quick learner with passion to learn and adapt to new technologies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Expertise in building REST based micro services platform
* Proven track record on delivering results, especially in the area of writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code
* Expertise in DevOps process and tooling for deployment, monitoring and site reliability engineering
* Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.
