In this role, you will manage and support Channel Resellers on a National level, with a goal of achieving current annual sales targets and margins while positioning the business for continued growth in future years. You will have responsibility for all Notebook/Chromebook business in the US. Additional responsibilities:
* Enabling Reseller sales teams (inside and outside) to know and understand the Samsung brand, value proposition, performance and features of our products and services with a heavy emphasis on Samsung Notebook/Chromebook.
* Review and train on new products and sales programs with resellers.
* Provide competitive market intelligence feedback to the Leadership team
* Identify business opportunities for Reseller sales people and work with them to develop business relationships and close contracts
* Maintain an up-to-date sales call plan with objectives and document all communications.
* Participates in regional or national trade shows
* You must have experience in the B2B Channel Reseller / National Solution Provider and/or VAR Channel, and also have a solid understanding of the distribution channel, while having a track record of creating and maintaining strong business relationships with all levels of sales, marketing, operations, and all other aspects.
* You must be able to provide Samsung management with up to date information and concerns that impact the ability to effectively sell and support our products in the channel. This includes input back in to Product Management, and also be involved with the forecasting process.
* You must have knowledge and understanding around sell through data, competitive updates, channel trends and competitive strategies in order for Samsung to maintain and increase its competitive position, and maintain the correct and healthy inventory levels in the channel.
* You will engage in internal and external customer facing events, and be effective in listening to customer issues, concerns and recommendations, and drive collaborative process around resolution. This also includes conduct sales presentations that convey the correct product positioning as well as comparing our solutions to competitive offerings, and provide on-going product information and expertise to all aspects within the Reseller.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Requirements:
* BA/BS Degree with 12-15 years of directly related experience is required
* A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Reseller, VAR, or NSP Channel
* Experience with Notebook/Chromebook
* Manage multiple programs simultaneously
* Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
* Able to communicate complex technical or market issues clearly
* Influences, coordinates and negotiates within cross-functional teams and across the organization
* Comfortable seeking out stakeholders and presenting project details to leadership
* Capable at sorting and analyzing data
* Pragmatic and pro-active approach
* Entrepreneurial thinking, excellent communication skills and team player.
* Excellent technical skills overall, but especially in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
* Ability to perform at customer facing events, and to lead sales and product training, holding Strong product knowledge and competitive expertise.
* Ability to convey needs wants and interests of VAR, Resellers, resellers and drive effective strategies to grow the mutual business.
* Microsoft Office Skills a must and SalesForce.com experience preferred
* Ability to travel when role requires up to 60% of the time.
