**Kiewit Bridge & Marine District:**

Kiewit's Bridge & Marine District is headquartered in Vancouver, Washington. We primarily perform heavy civil projects specializing in earth moving, technical and traditional bridges, marine, water resources, transportation, roadways, and underground utilities, while developing builders who will lead the company into the future.

The primary duties of the Environmental Manager will be to monitor and maintain good environmental management practices and ensure compliance with legal and contractual environmental requirements for the project. This position directly contributes to Kiewit's enduring dedication to corporate social responsibility.


**Key Duties and responsibilities:**


o Assist with the environmental compliance for the project

o Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the company

o Perform field inspections and monitoring (storm water, waste storage, fuel storage etc.)

o Maintaining project data tracking requirements

o Monitor, forecast and communicate environmental costs at the project level

o Conduct environmental training to staff at all levels

o Coordinate with relevant crews on their work locations, material needs, quantities and invoices

o Interpret and apply environmental specifications and drawings

o Update environnemental plans (SWPP, SPCC etc.)

o Preparing project and Kiewit required reports and communication of environmental risks to project management.

o Perform other duties as required by supervisor or manager


**Qualifications**


o Undergraduate degree in an environmental science or engineering field

o Minimum of 5 years of environmental regulatory experience

o Experience in construction monitoring would be an asset

o Working knowledge of State and Federal environmental legislation

o Ideally have CPESC and 40-hour HAZWOPER, or ability to obtain within 6 months

o Ability to facilitate team information and be professional

o Effective written and verbal communication skills

o Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

o Must be a self-starter and highly motivated with the desire to do what it takes to get the job done.

o Strong organization/time management skills.

o Ability to travel and relocate as required.
