This recruitment is for one full-time, permanent **Construction & Maintenance Project Supervisor**position located in the Battle Ground Area in the Skamania and Clark Counties of Washington. The duty station for this position is negotiable between Beacon Rock, Battle Ground Lake, or Paradise Point State Park.

The role of the C&M; Supervisor is to supervise, coordinate, and lead the maintenance crew within a park management area. The C&M; Supervisor provides guidance, coordination, and supervision of the trades and maintenance staff who perform maintenance duties on buildings, utility systems, roads, trails, landscapes, and equipment resulting in the public having safe and functional facilities. The C&M; Supervisor also assists in planning projects, budget preparation of projects, facility inspections, and construction and maintenance of buildings, roads and heavy equipment throughout the Battle Ground Area.
This position plays an important role as a primary interface with the Region Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Chief on state and region wide maintenance objectives and priorities.
Under the direct supervision of the Area Manager (Park Ranger 4), this position assists in the operation of the Battle Ground Lake Area Parks by leading, directing, and supervising the maintenance, repair, and operational development of the park areas, facilities, grounds, and equipment. This position supervises a Maintenance Mechanic 1, but could potentially supervise other positions in the near future. The Battle Ground Lake Area includes Beacon Rock, Battle Ground Lake, Paradise Point and Reed Island.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Leads and directs the maintenance, repair, and operational development of the park areas and its facilities and equipment.
* Schedule work priorities and shift coverage, mentor, recommend disciplinary and corrective action, perform hiring interviews, and develop work plans and evaluations.
* Recruit and hire trades and maintenance staff for the area.
* Responsible for the coordination and completion of the Preventative, Deferred, Routine, Equipment, and emergency and unforeseen maintenance within the area.
* Perform repair and maintenance work in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, water and wastewater systems, and other equipment.
* Develop and control park maintenance budget for all park area projects and repairs.
* Conduct or provide equipment training for area staff who operate equipment.
* Two (2) years of experience and completion of recognized apprenticeship in at least two skilled trades OR four (4) years of applicable work experience or vocational training OR two (2) years of experience as a Construction & Maintenance Project Lead.
* Valid driver's license.
* Knowledge of construction techniques, plumbing codes, electrical codes, and building codes.
* Supervisory experience.
* Class A Commercial Driver's License.
* Water Operator Certification.
* Wastewater Operator Certification.
